I think you are eligible if your degree is recognized by UGC and AICET. As AMIE which is a corresponding degree from institute of entertainment India.

Yes Final year student can appear in GATE Exam .Yes it is a good thing that you are going to give GATE Exam.There is no limited attempts in GATE exam.You can give many times.So give a Try.
If you have completed MSc than you can also go for Msc further.IIT JAM Exam is conducted for getting admission in various IITs & IISc for MSc & PH.D Programs.It is good career option to complete your Msc in IIT .IIT Jam exam is also conducted in Feb.

Hi Sneha,
No, you are not eligible. Only M.Tech aspirants can apply for GATE exam as it is an all India test. The test is administered by top technology institutes.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and Seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

- Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) with minimum 60% and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
