Students applying for GATE 2024 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate is allowed to appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 29 papers for which the GATE 2024 will be conducted, they have to carefully make a choice of the papers they wish to write. The answer is no. BCA students are not eligible to apply for GATE. But if they are doing MCA after completing BCA then they are eligible for GATE exams.

If you cracked UPSC ESE then definitely join as IES. Or if you are preparing then give both GATE and UPSC ESE your first priority should be IES then any PSU job.

The eligibility criteria to apply for GATE for the Psychology subject is as follows:
1. The candidate needs to have a Master's degree in Psychology.
2. The master's degree could be in any related specialisation, such as applied psychology.
3. Those who have already completed their degree are eligible to apply.
4. The candidate should either be in the first year or higher if they have not completed their degree.
5. Candidates who are in their final year of an undergraduate degree programme can also apply.
