Yes, admission to MTech programmes offered by BITS Mesra is based on merit in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The weightage of a GATE score is 80% and 20% is for academic performance. Moreover, candidates without a GATE score can also apply. For non-GATE candidates, the selection is based on academic performance and interview rounds (20% weightage to Interview and 80% weightage to Academic Performance).
