GATE exam is for M.Tech. And, if you do not have GATE score you cannot take admission in premium institutes. But, many other universities that conduct their own exam for M.Tech. Hope this help you.

All private universities and colleges generally don't require any GATE scorecard. So you need not worry but carefully select a college that has a good placement record and studies.

What is your branch? This is important and different PSU having different cutoff marks and rank. Like for mechanical the rank up to 1500 sometimes.

It depends upon your branch and the rank in GATE. Year on year cutoff and highest score in GATE is increasing, so it is different but for civil approximately 65-70 marks are for a good IITS.

Yes, you can take admission in JNTUA with GATE score. There is no problem. GATE score is eligible for all engineering colleges for doing M.Tech.

You can pursue M.Tech without GATE score as well. SPA Delhi, SPA Bhopal and SPA Vijaywada. These colleges offer M.Plan in Urban and Regional planning, Transport and Environment, Infrastructure Planning. These colleges offer seats based on your past record, entrance examination and personal interview. You can also go for CEPT university which offer admission based on SKYPE interview and written and oral test!
