GATE is a national-level examination that aims to evaluate the knowledge and aptitude of candidates in preparation for admission to engineering and management programmes. IIT Roorkee has released the official syllabus in the GATE 2025 information brochure on official GATE 2025 website, i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in. There are no changes expected in the GATE syllabus for the existing 30 papers. However, candidates are advised to check the official GATE 2025 information brochure for subject-wise GATE syllabus.

No, in fact a Candidate should note that if he or she is not sure about an answer to a question, they should surely try to avoid that question since there is a negative marking in the GATE examination. It is not mandatory to solve all the 65 questions and one must be totally sure while answering a question and not rely on the luck of guessing.To know more about the GATE examination, refer to the official website from the examination or Shiksha.

No, a physical calculator is not allowed during the GATE examination. Candidates will be provided with a virtual scientific calculator during the online GATE 2024 examination. It can be used to answer the questions. Also, mobile phones, physical calculators, wristwatches, or any other electronic items are not permitted inside the examination hall. Therefore, it is important for a candidate to know how to use the GATE virtual calculator provided in the GATE exam. Candidates should practice well before the exam to minimise calculation errors and reach the results quickly.
