Salary depends on many factors in Indian Oil Corporation Ltd like:
1- The type of city in which you are posted is X, Y, or Z accordingly you get an HRA of 24,16, and 8 percent of Basic Pay respectively, and no HRA in case you are staying in company accommodation.

It depends on your interests and what you want for a career. If you choose a PSU, you will receive a decent package ranging from INR 10 LPA to INR 30 LPA as well as a secure job, but your career growth will be limited. PSUs for ECE engineers are AAI, BARC, BBNL, BEL BEML, BHEL, BSNL JTO, CEL, DMRC DRDO, ECIL, HAL, IOCL, ISRO, MDL, NTPC, NHPC, NLC, OMPL, etc. On the other side, if you pursue M.Tech from any top IITs, NITs, or other government colleges, you will have more exposure in your field.
