The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering exam is definitely tougher than Joint Entrance Examination (Advance or Mains) exams. The level of concepts and questions tested in the Joint Entrance Examination papers are 11th and 12th whereas, in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering exam, undergraduate subject knowledge along with the General Aptitude and reasoning of the student is tested. I hope this will help you.
