The GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) comprises multiple-choice questions (MCQs) as well as numerical answer-type questions (NAT). The MCQs have four options, out of which candidates have to select the correct one. In NAT questions, candidates need to enter a numerical value as the answer using a virtual keypad. In the GATE Multiple-Select Questions, there will be more than one correct answer.

You can add a second paper after submitting the GATE application form. Follow the steps below to add a secondary paper to the GATE application form. Visit the official GATE website - gate2025.iitr.ac.inClick on the application link, and you will be redirected to the GOAPS portal.Login using the credentials - GATE enrollment ID and passwordThe application form status will be displayed on the screenOn the screen, there will be an option to add GATE paper. Click on the link Select and make the payment for the desired GATE paperKeep a copy of the payment receipt for future reference.

You can change the category only during the GATE application correction process. The GATE 2025 application form correction window will be activated at the GOAPS portal in the first week of November. The last date to change the category and other particulars is November 6, 2024.

The GATE application fee is as follows -For SC/ST/PwD and female applicants, the GATE 2025 exam fee is INR 900 (during the regular period) and INR 1400 (during the extended period). For other categories, including international candidates, the GATE application fee is INR 1800 (during the regular period) and INR 2400 (during the extended period). Candidates can use Netbanking/UPI/Credit/Debit card for the payment. International visas and master cards are also accepted for GATE application fee payment.

No, GATE exam will be conducted online only. The total time duration of the exam is three hours, where candidates will be asked questions in the following format -Candidate’s selected subjectMultiple Choice Questions (MCQ)Multiple Selection Questions (MSQ)Numerical Answer Type Questions (NAT)The exam is completly conducted online and students are not allowed to carry physical calculator. Infact, students will receive a virtual calculator during the examination to solve complex calculations.

This year, GATE exam will take place in 200+ cities. This year, the GATE exam is conducted by IIT Roorkee. The GATE has a total of eight zonal centres namely, IISC Bangalore, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee.

The GATE official website is gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The GATE 2025 registrations is now closed. The application form window was activated on August 28, 2024. The last date for submitting the application form with regular fees was October 3, 2024, and with extended fees was October 11, 2024. The form correction facility will start soon. However, the last date to submit the changes is November 6, 2024.
