If you are dedicated for further studies, then you should improve further and appear again for GATE 2020. Then only you have very good career options. And, if you have good business options then it is also okay.

There is no meaning of marks in GATE. It depends on the rank and also in branch. If you are from MECH, CIVIL or EE, then only you can get your state government college. But, if you are from ECE, then you can apply for new NITS or IIITS.

If you have good marks in GATE, then you will get admissions in any reputed university. Especially for robotics preferred IIT.

You cannot get M.Tech in older IITs, but I think you will get interview calls from the newer IITs. You can even apply for M. S and Ph.D. programs in IIT if you are interested in pursuing a research career. Just focus on 3 subjects, because in the interview you will be asked only questions on your subject of interest. Try to write GATE again to get in a good college.

AMIE is recognised by government. Of India and is valid for IES UPSC, GATE IES and government Jobs (where Eq. B.Tech degree is also mentioned).
