Hello Ganesh,
GATE is generally an entrance test used for admission for PG courses in India. However, few universities in Singapore and Germany accept the GATE scores for admission. From Singapore, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and from Germany, Technical University of Munich and RWTH Aachen, Germany, admit Indian students to the post graduate engineering courses based on this exam. Apart from this, the students have to qualify the language proficiency test as required by the universities.

Hi Naneet,
You can then get admission in IITs in post graduation courses after clearing GATE. And there are many jobs post which need GATE exam marks.

AICTE has officially announced that it has not yet taken any decision or placed proposal for implementing GATE as the "Exit Exam" for engineering graduates. So there is no official confirmation from AICTE regarding the applicability of Exit Test for B.Tech final-year students.

No, that was a rumor as per now. I had also received an image of letter signed from AICTE stating that they have not approved anything regarding that GATE qualification news.

You should go for GATE. If you prepare for GATE, so many technical entrance exams, you can clear as the syllabus is almost same. PSUs, M.Tech, Barc, AAI, SO, etc., will be covered through GATE.

No, for management quota, you won't be asked these things and also after the 1st or 2nd round they only offer admission based on your conditions.
