The minimum score that candidates need to secure in order to qualify the entrance test. The cut-off score for life science-XL (applicable for botany) in your category is 19.9.

There are some subjects from each semester for the GATE. If you are not going for any coaching then you can adjust your preparation time and subjects accordingly but if you are taking coaching then you would face that they have their own pattern of syllabus and your college has different.

B.Plan (Bachelors in planning) or B.Arch (Bachelors in architecture), construction and project management are the streams you may choose if you qualify GATE for architecture and planning.

Most of the PSUs now recruit graduate trainees through GATE examination. The one's that don't either conduct their own test or recruit from colleges directly. The one's that recruit through GATE shortlist the candidates based on their respective GATE scores and dispatch the call letters in the month of June. For mechanical stream, interviews usually begin in the last week of June and continue till the end of September. Interview process generally consists of GD (group discussion), get ( group task) and PI ( personal interview). Different companies opt for different process. BPCL- GD, PI- Tech and PI- HR
