The GATE counselling is done online soon after the results are declared. The GATE 2025 results will be announced on the official website on March 19, 2025. The CCMT and COAP will conduct the GATE counselling. Candidates wishing to be admitted to IITs must register for counselling on the COAPs portal. On the other hand, candidates seeking admission to NITs and IIITs will have to participate in the CCMT counselling. The GATE 2025 counselling includes stages, such as registration, choice filling and locking,, seat allotment, document verification, and payment of the GATE counselling fees.

The GATE 2025 scorecard will be available from March 28, 2025 to May 31, 2025 to download. Candidates can download the scorecard from the GOAPS portal, by submitting their enrollment ID and password. However, candidates can still download the GATE scorecard from June 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, by paying a fee of INR 500 per test paper. The GATE 2025 results will be announced on March 19, 2025 online.

The GATE scorecard is valid for three years. Within these three years, qualified candidates can use the scorecard to apply for admission to various IITs, NITs, and other reputed colleges. A valid scorecard can also be used to apply for Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) jobs. IIT Roorkee will release the GATE results on March 19, 2025. Candidates can check the GATE 2025 exam results on the official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The result carries the applicant's qualifying status. Candidates must provide their enrollment ID and password to check the GATE results.

The GATE cutoff is evaluated based on the sum of the marks secured by all the candidates divided by the total number of students. GATE cutoff score = Sum of marks secured by all the candidates/total number of students who appeared in the exam. The cutoff is the minimum qualifying mark required to qualify for the GATE exam, and it varies for each test subject. Candidates can challenge the GATE answer key in the following way -Visit the official website of GATE or the GOAPS portalClick on the answer key link and then select the “raise an objection” optionChoose the question you want to challengePay the application fee for challenging the question (each question carries INR 500) to object. Submit the response.

The GATE 2025 answer key will be released within two to three weeks of completing the examination. IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE 2025 exam in two sessions on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The exam timings for the GATE exam is - Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).
