Hello Shubhra,
Biotech has great potential. Indian agriculture requires research in almost all areas. Biotech engineers can play a great role in this area. For clearing GATE nothing else but knowledge of your own subject is required. In addition, if you can give some mock tests and improve weak areas based on the feedback it would be of great help in clearing GATE.
