The exam pattern and distribution of questions for test paper codes - CE, CS, EC, AE, AG, BT, CH, ME, MN, MT, EE, IN, TF, XE, PE, ST, and PI are as follows -General Aptitude (GA)-  15 questionsEngineering Mathematics (EM) - 13 questionsSubject-specific questions - 72 questions The total number of questions asked in the GATE examination is 100 questions.

The marking scheme is different for each GATE question paper section, which is as follows -For 1 mark Multiple Choice Questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.For 2 mark Multiple Choice Questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.There is no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.

The GATE 2025 application form correction facility started on October 31, 2024. The details has been released on the official website. The last date to submit the changes has been extended to November 20, 2024. Earlier, the last date to submit the form correction was November 6, 2024, which was later extended to Nov 10, and then further extended to Nov 20. Candidates can make modifications at the GOAPS portal. During the application form correction period, candidates can change the following particulars: category, paper, examination city, adding a new test paper, and personal details.

The GATE Enrollment ID is the registration number that is created during the candidate’s registration process at the GOAPS portal. The GATE 2025 enrollment ID is used to access the GOAPS portal. Candidates can check the GATE 2025 application form status by following the steps below -Visit the official website- gate2025.iitr.ac.inClick on the GOAPS portalEnter the enrollment ID and password. Click on the submit buttonThe application status will be displayed on the screenIf a candidate's application form is under scrutiny, then the GATE conducting authorities will send a mail regarding the discrepancy and deadline for rectification.
