Difference between IIT JAM and GATE:
GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is an all India entrance exam which allows candidates to apply for IITs, NITs, IISc, and a few other applied sciences institutes/universities. GATE exam can only be given by the candidates with applied Science degrees like B.E and B.Tech, to pursue M.Tech and M.Sc. By research, integrated Ph.D and direct Ph.D programs. IIT JAM (Joint Admission test for M.Sc) is an all India entrance exam which allows candidates to apply for IITs, IISERs, IISc, and NITs. Yes, GATE is conducted in various fields. There is separate a book for each subject like as:
OS - Peter B. Galvin
CSO - Hamacher, M. Mono, William Stalling
DBMS - Korth, Navathe
and so many.
