In whatever field we appear, result teaches us something. it gives us feedback. It tells us to pause, think and then only move ahead. With almost 60 percent in B. Tech, you have a reasonable level of competence. Hence, I feel if you push through, there are chances that you will definitely score better in GATE or TANCET. Without hesitation start working towards your goal by achieving better percentile and seat will be yours.

It is very good sign that you are thinking to prepare GATE form 2ND year itself. Many students think that they will start preparation in last year itself and crack the exam. But it is not possible as GATE require long and consistence study.
The first step of preparation starts with knowing the syllabus and then familiarizing with all the relevant subject topics.
The GATE test duration is 3 hours. There are 65 questions with a maximum of 100 marks.
Objective type questions are included in the GATE test.
Four alternatives will be there. Numerical questions have a number as the answer.

Thakur College admits students based on the GATE score nowadays. However, twenty percent seats are reserved for the management quota. You can try to get admission through management quota in Thakur College.

Nothing is difficult in life if you give it enough time. Same is the case with GATE. It's an exam. The syllabus is known. Type of exam is known. Select your subject, get thorough with your basics and be regular in your studies. Importantly, do not forget to have some time for fitness and entertainment. Only a healthy body has a healthy mind.
