Yes it is possible if you score in the GATE exam in Material Science or other related fields like Biotech, Chemical Engineering and so on, you can apply for M.Tech in Material Science at IIT Bombay even if you have done your B.Tech in Biotechnology. To gain entry to DPG Institute of Technology and Management for M.Tech, it is necessary to have a good GATE score. Even if the institute does not specify a particular cutoff, above 400 can increase the chances of admission.
