IIT Kanpur accepts GATE scores for admission to the M.Tech course. As per the GATE COAP round 1 cutoff, the most competitive course was Microelectronics and VLSI with a closing rank of 935 for the General AII India category students. So, to secure a seat in IIT Kanpur, candidates must secure more than 900 for General AI category. Candidates seeking M.Tech seats in IIT Delhi in different specializations must note they have a valid GATE Score in the respective branch. Yes, you can join the Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) for the M.Tech programme without GATE through the management quota seats. Only GATE-qualified candidates shall be admitted to Full-time P.G. courses. When GATE-qualified candidates are unavailable, admission shall be given on merit to those not qualified in GATE conducted by Indian Institute Of Technology.
