No, Physical calculators are not allowed during the GATE examination. Candidates will be provided with an on-screen virtual scientific calculator during the online GATE examination. Candidates must know that any kind of electronic gadget is prohibited on the exam premises. Yes, Candidates will be given a correction window to change/ modify the already filled details in GATE application form. Candidates can change the subjects for an additional fee during the correction window. They can add or change the second paper only once. Candidates will not be able edit any detail after the correction window is closed.

Candidates are given free choice to choose the GATE papers, however candidates should choose the papers which align with the qualifying degree. E.g; If a candidate have done B.Tech. in Civil Engineering he/she should choose CE GATE paper. Candidates are advised to check the GATE two-paper combination options while opting for second paper choice.

No, A candidate needs to have a minimum bachelor's degree in engineering/ science/ arts/ Humanities. to appear for GATE exam. Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) is an entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses.
