The selection process for M.Tech includes:1. Applying with a valid GATE score.2. Shortlisting based on GATE score and/or additional factors.3. Some institutes offer interviews or written exams. 4. The final selection is based on performance in these rounds. The minimal GATE percentile varies according to institute and expertise. In general, a GATE rank of less than 200 is considered good for IITs, but a rank of 350-800 is considered ideal for NITs. For correct information, please refer to the institute's specific criteria.

Indeed, with a 75 percentile in the GATE, you can acquire an M.Tech at the Central University of Punjab. GATE results are the main factor used by Central University of Punjab to determine admission to M.Tech degrees; the university also administers a counseling process to determine final admission.

No, aspirants can take admission in M.Tech programme of SOT PDEU without GATE score also. The university accepts admission for non-GATE qualified candidates in Phase-II. However, the application process is common. Candidates who have not qualified GATE are shortlisted based on their performance in the personal interview round. The merit list for such aspirants are prepared based on PI performance. Candidate who has applied for more than one branch has to appear in personal interview for all the respective branches separately
