The admissions to the MTech programmes of IIT Delhi are mainly on the basis of the GATE scores of the candidates. The cut-off scores of GATE eligibility change every year along with criteria like the area of specialisation, category of General, OBC, SC/ST, and the number of applications. Check out last year's M.Tech cutoff trends below: Computer Science and Engineering: Cut offs of GATE in 2023 for CSE at IIT Delhi is 675 for General, 640 for OBC and 500 for SC/ST/PwD.Other Specialisations: The cutoff for other streams is different. Yes, of course. You can join Lucknow Institute of Technology (LIT) for M.Tech also without attending GATE. M.Tech entry into LIT is UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) as well. Depending upon the seat availability and eligibility, there is institutional counseling to facilitate entry. GATE-qualified candidates get priority for scholarships and other preferences. There is also a scope for a student, who hasn't qualified under GATE, to apply to the college considering the academic performance along with an entrance examination conducted by that institute or even a state-level entrance examination.
