Yes, non-GATE applicants willing to get into M.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar are required to appear for the institute level entrance test. However, all candidates are required to appear for the Personal Interview round for final selection. In addition to this, BTech graduates from the IITs with CGPA/ CPI of 8.0 or above (on a scale of 10) are eligible to get admission to M.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar without GATE. Other than GATE or the criteria state above, candidates are required to be a pass in BE/ BTech/ MSc or equivalent in appropriate branches with a minimum of 55% aggregate or 5.5 on a 10-point scale (50% aggregate for SC /ST). Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses at IITs, NITs, IIITs in Engineering, Science and other allied subjects. The detailed eligibility criteria of GATE are given below:Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree programme or who have completed any government approved degree programme in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2024.Candidates who possess certification from any of the below list professional societies are also eligible to apply for GATE however, they must ensure that those examinations are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/ UPSC as being equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch./ B.Planning, etc. The Institution of Engineers (India) (IE)The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI)The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (IIChE)The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIIE)Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India are also eligible. All such candidates must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or must have completed their Bachelor’s degree (of at least three years duration) in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities. Candidates pursuing or in possession of any higher degree will be allowed to appear for GATE 2024.Candidates must note that there is no age limit to apply for GATE.

IISc Bangalore (result announcing body of GATE) will announce the GATE 2024 result on March 25. To check the result, students will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. In 2024, IISc Bangalore will conduct the GATE exam. This exam also opens various opportunities for engineering and Science graduates to work in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and in the field of research. Yes, GATE is required for admission to the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Aurangabad for their M.Tech program. Candidates must have a valid GATE score to be eligible for admission. The center also conducts entrance examinations for other programs such as Diploma in Electronic Production and Maintenance (DEPM). Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale in their Bachelor's degree.
