Generic MBA exposes students in all management functions such as finance, marketing, HR, operations, strategy, etc. for all kind of industries from FMCG to core technology companies. Generic MBA is an all-purpose degree, which offer a graduate to choose his career options.
Generic MBA from top B-schools have career opportunities in the field of consulting, business analysis, pre sales support, project managers, functional management, operations management, executive assistant to top leadership in private, government, PSU and NGOs.

MBA has the same curriculum in the 1st year for all the students. A student can opt for specialisations in the 2nd year. General management will be a combination of study topics such as HR, finance, marketing, operations, and general management concepts. Whereas, MBA in finance will have special finance subjects like banking and insurance, mergers and acquisitions and private equity instead of subjects taught in HR, operations or marketing. It would be focused on finance only.
