Being in gene Science department, you must have a lot of skillset in Maths (like Calculus, Correlation-Regression, hypothesis testing, Stochastic and Probability modelling etc.). And data Science. To be very straight, you must to have computational Statistics with a strong background. In addition to this, qualifications like Data mining, Data modelling, Wrangling, Visualization, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networking and applied artificial intelligence are highly applicable in Bio-Physics and gene's R&D for DNA Analysis and criminology testing, this Capicity Testing etc. You can start all this step by step by learning programming (preferably Python and R). Career Prospects for Genetic Engineers
Genetic engineering is an evolving field and, therefore, offers limited by very interesting and lucrative career prospects for the students.
