The eligibility criteria for UGC NET Geography exam is a post-graduation degree in Geography, Applied Geography, Geo-informatics or any other related subjects. The percentage should be according to the following parameters: Candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer of Other Backward Classes (OBC-NC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD), and Transgender category have to score at least 50% marks. No, you cannot because UGC makes it mandatory for taking M.A. Subject as the main paper in UGC NET. You may pursue research in sustainability Science.
