A few of the things that GMU students can do on the weekends are:Volunteer at one of the local animal rescuesHike just to the west in Shenandoah National Park or Great FallsCheck the seasonal events from Waterford Day to Apple Blossom festival and many other Civil War sitesDo sightseeing in DC – the museums, China Town, art galleries, etc.
