This will depend on whether you want to do Bachelor's or Master's degree. If you are planning for Bachelor's degree, you must complete 13 years of education that is another year of formal schooling after class 12th. Mention your profile in a better way for better guidance.

Indeed, Germany has decent colleges and as far as education is concerned Germany is a good country. But this highly depends on the university you are applying.
