Yes, you can give IELTS only. Almost all the universities in Germany ask for IELTS. It is European based and TOEFL is American based.

Hi Himanshu, there is no good or bad university in Germany. Almost every university in Germany is reputed and well known. The very famous ones are RWTH Aachen, TU Berlin, TU Munich, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, TU Darmstadt, TU Dresden, University of Hannover, TU Braunschweig and University of Stuttgart.

Hi Bharat, the term 'best' itself differs from person to person. There would be certain areas where you excel and vice versa. Figure out your interests and decide. Also, check the labor shortage list. Germany on the whole is a hub for mechanical engineers. Check this for all the information you are asking for:

Hi,
German universities are extremely competitive. They don't recognise 57% to put it straight. Check universities in countries such as Poland, Norway, Ireland, etc.

Hi Parth,
You cannot apply after a Diploma as they don't accept Diplomas. To study Bachelor degree, you can clear the JEE Advanced or complete the first year of a Bachelor degree programme in India. You can also check Studienkolleg. IELTS requirement is 6 with no part less than 5.5 but depends from university to university. Check DAAD website for all your queries.
