Karlsruhe Institute of Technology ranks are quite impressive in the global rankings. For instance, in the QS World University Rankings, KIT ranks at #119 in 2024 and #141 in 2023. As per Article 3 LHGebG (Baden-Württemberg Act on State University Fees), international students from third-countries / Non-EU countries attending bachelor’s, teacher’s, and consecutive master’s programs and free movers will have to pay the tuition fee of amount EUR 1,500 per semester. Yes, the German student visa allows international students to work while studying in Germany. International students are allowed to work for a total of 120 full or 240 half days in a year. usually, as per the university norms, a student is allowed to work for more than 20 hours a week during the term. However, working for more than 20 hours a week will require international students to pay for health insurance, unemployment as well as nursing care insurance.
