Relatively, Germany is not unaffordable to live in for international students. The cost of living will depend on various factors such as the location of your university, type of accommodation, your lifestyle etc. Some cities like Berlin and Frankfurt may be expensive for international students to live in.  you would need around €861 per month, or so says the Federal Foreign Office. As of January 1, 2022,  keeping the rate of inflation in mind, the mandatory amount required in the Blocked Account for studying in Germany is €10,332 for an entire year or €861 for a month.

There is no tuition fee for any course including B.Tech in any public university in Germany. German universities are funded by the German government, therefore students including international students are exempted from any tuition fees. However, there may be certain administration-related charges that students will have to pay at the time of enrollment in the university. Zero tuition fee is one of the major reason that draws thousands of internatioal students to Germany from all over the world.
