98%ile score is indeed a good score under Cmat and compared to our last years' cut off of 96%ile you have a good chance to get shortlisted at GIM.

Congratulations for your score of 95+ percentile score in Mat but GIM only accepts scores of CAT, CMAT and XAT.

Shyam,
NMIMS Bangalore is comparatively new while it carries the branding of NMIMS Mumbai.
While GIM is a standalone Bschool ranked amongst the top 20 bschools in India and is consistently moving up the ranks. I myself had a few options including NMIMS, GIM, TAPMI, etc but I chose to consider GIM because of the level of involvement of students in the functioning of the college, availability of student investment fund and dedicated societies and clubs for all streams. Sushil- GIM only accepts Cmat, Cat and Xat exam scores.

Hi Sonal,
The profile looks alright but the Cmat score of 86%ile compared to last years' cut off 96%ile would be too low. If you applied to achievers' round you may have a chance to get shortlisted for the profile based selection.

Last year as there were two CMAT exams so for Feb CMAT cutoff went approximately 96%ile.

Looking at the past year's trend, the chances of getting a call from GIM at this CAT percentile seem to be low. Last year, the cut-off was 90 percentile, for CAT.

Last year Cat cut off was 90%ile so it shall be around or above the same this year as well.
