During GJUST registration, candidates need to pay an application fee to apply for a course. There is relaxation in application fee for EWS, SC and SB candidates of Haryana. Since the mode of application is online, aspirants can pay the fee via any of the online payment modes. GJUST admissions usually begin in June for UG and PG courses with the opening of registration portal. The applications open online and continue till July. For PhD courses, the application forms are usually released in the first week of August. The university concludes the admission within a month.

Once the candidates are shortlisted for UG or PG course based on merit or entrance exam, candidates are required to come for GJUST Counselling. The university verifies the documents of the candidates during the counselling process for final admission. Yes, BA (Hons) and BA (Hons) Research Mass Communication is a four-year course offered by GJUST. The university offers BA (Hons) at the UG level. After completing Class 12, candidates can apply for BA (Hons) course. The university shortlist candidates for BA (Hons) based on GJUST Entrance Test.Additionally,  Directorate of Distance Education, GJU offers BA and BA Mass Communication for a duration of three years. Candidates who have completed Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate can apply for BA course in distance education mode.
