GLS Institute of Design is famous for its design programmes. Bachelor of Design (BDes) is the flagship course of the GLS Institute of Design which is offered across four specialisations. Apart from the BDes programme the institute also offers a five-year Integrated MDes programme. GLS Institute of Design is a part of GLS University which is a private university located in Ahmedabad established in the year 2015 under the Gujarat Private University Act-2009. The institute offers UG and integrated PG programs. At the UG level, GLS Institute of Design offers four-year full-time BDes programmes and at the PG level, the institute offers a five-year full-time Integrated MDes programme in the fields of Fashion, Environment and space Design, Communication, and Product.

The top recruiters of who participated during the recent GLS Institute of Design placements included Swiggy, HOF, Rooshad Shroff, Godrej, Design Ki Peti, Task Design, and Flash Fuels, etc.

GLS Institute of Design recorded 65% placements for the recent batch of its BDes and MDes courses. The highest and average package offered during the recent GLS Institute of Design University placements stood at INR 3 LPA and INR 1.80 LPA, respectively. Talking about the UID Ahmedabad placements, the average package offered to MDes students was between INR 10 LPA and INR 14 LPA.
