To be eligible for admission candidates are required to fill out the application form of their accepted entrance exam. To fill out the form candidates must visit the official website of their respective entrance exams including Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, Andhra Pradesh PGECET and GATE for admission to BTech and MTech, respectively.

No, GMR Institute of Technology offers entrance-based admission to its UG and PG courses. To be eligible for admission candidates are required to apply and appear for the accepted exam. The college accepts Andhra Pradesh EAMCET and Andhra Pradesh ECET exam followed by counselling for BTech  and Andhra Pradesh PGECET and GATE exam followed by counselling for M.Tech Additionaly, candidates are required to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria set by the college.

But they must score qualifying marks for taking part in the counseling conducted by the board, APSCHE.JEE Main : Although very few get through by the GMRIT on merit from the JEE Main scores, Management Quota: GMRIT accepts the management quota for direct admission on 10 +2 academic merits.Passed 10+2 with PCM securing a minimum qualifying percentage. It is possible to get B.E./B.Tech admission at GMRIT only if the student qualifies in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET or JEE Main exams. Counseling for Admission Post clearing Andhra Pradesh EAMCET is done by APSCHE. GMRIT offers management quota directly under merit based on academic score. Eligibility Passing 10+2 with PCM subjects and a minimum percentage of usually 45-50% is required for eligibility. Marksheets of 10th/12th, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET/JEE scorecard and ID proof would be required for admission.
