To get admission at Government College of Engineering, Kannur (GCEK) for UG/PG courses, one has to fit into the eligibility criteria as follows:For UG: B.Tech:The candidate must have passed 10+2 with core subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam (KEAM) conducted by the Government of Kerala gives admission. The scores obtained at JEE Main can also be considered in certain categories.For PG (M.Tech): B.Tech or equivalent degree in relevant discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for OBC/SC/ST candidates). Admission is done through GATE scores or college-specific entrance examinations.

Government College of Engineering, Kannur has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses: CoursesEligibilityB.E. / B.TechCandidate must have passed Diploma in relevant stream from a recognised Institute.M.E./M.TechCandidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission. (Graduates from Institution of Engineers (India) (AMIE) or from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) (AMITE) in appropriate area with a valid GATE score in appropriate suhjcct (Anncxurc V).
AND
A minimum of 55%* marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination.
