Examination (Class 10th) conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P/TS. such as CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Candidates belonging to NIOS/APOSS/Other Examinations recognised as equivalent to SSC by A.P. Govt. should have passed all the subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with minimum of 35% marks in each subject.
Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in April/ May-2023, and whose results are yet to be declared can also apply.
There is no age restriction.

Government College Of Engineering Tirunelveli has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses: CoursesEligibilityB.E. / B.TechCandidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate.
Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply.
Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced.
Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile.
Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.M.E./M.TechCandidate who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years Diploma + AMIE are also eligible.
AMIE candidate must have 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field.

Sec. Part-II (12th/10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised statutory Board/University with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subjects having 45% marks for Open Merit Category candidates, including the Children of Defence Personnel, Para-Military Forces, Police Personnel of UT of J&K/Ladakh and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in Sports and 40% marks for SC/ST/PSP/IB and other Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (RBA/ALC/OSC).
