KGEC - Kalyani Government Engineering College has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses: CoursesEligibilityB.E. / B.TechCandidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering/Technology or B.Sc. with Maths at 10+2 level from a recognised board.M.E./M.TechCandidates completed M.Sc. in Computer Science/ComputerApplications/Mathematics (with Computer Science Specialisation), MCA (with BCA or B.Sc. with Mathematics compulsory and any of the others from Statistics, Physics, Electronics or Computer Science) from any recognised institute/ university are also eligible to apply.MCACandidate who qualify eligibility as given below can also apply:
Module 4
Candidate must have obtained a BSc Honours degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline from a UGC recognised University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks in Aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) along with at least 55% marks in Mathematics.
They must secure at least 60% marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent level from recognised Boards with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at each level.
Candidate have to secure 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) at each level of education.

Government College of Engineering, Thanjavur has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses: CoursesEligibilityB.E. / B.TechCandidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate.
Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply.
Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced.
Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile.
Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.
