If you're from General category, you need at least 85 percentile to be on the safe side, that is 90+ marks overall. If you're from SC/ST category, you don't need to worry much as 60-70 percentile will work well for you to get a seat in any government college. Answer is yes, but that is only one step. You have to clear the JEE Exam to get Admission in top engineering institutions like IITs, NITs, IIITs . Almost Every Govt. Engineering College check your JEE Score for your admission. Only those candidates who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in or those who are appearing in Class 12/equivalent examination in 2023 are eligible to appear in JEE .
