Yes of course. The eligibility for joining the course is 10+2 with PCM or equivalent. You can definitely think of discontinuing engineering and taking admission in a flying school.

Duration of ND training is 12 months. Yes, it is a good opportunity to go for pilot training. Here is a more scope in this field.

Just do not worry. In any case as per one report by HRD ministry of GOI, almost 50% fresh engineering graduates who passed out last year could not be placed. On the other hand, civil aviation has grown by more than 15% year on year!
