Government Medical College, Jammu has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses: CoursesEligibilityGNMCandidate must be 17 years old and not more than 35 years old as on 31-12-2023.
However, for Lateral entry to GNM courses, candidates having Diploma in FMPHW /MMPHW/ANM course registered with Jammu & Kashmir Paramedical Nursing Council be eligible for GNM course and there will be no age bar for such candidates. Registered ANM with 40% marks and medically fit.UG DiplomaMust not have crossed maximum age 35 years old on 01-01-2023.MBBSCandidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained mentioned percentage taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. In respect of PwBD candidates as per NMC and DCI Regulations, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for theNational Eligibility Cum Entrance Test'. However, this has been a subject matter of challenge before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi, Hon'ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, and Hon'ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur
