Based on the NEET ranks, scoring 6 lakhs, you probably stand no chance in joining a government medical college. Intake Ranks The cutoff ranks to government medical colleges under NEET are extremely high from 1000- 50000 for General category and from 50000- 150000 for SC/ST/OBC categories. Out of the total MBBS seats about 90,000 approximately, 15% are for All India Quota and the remaining 85% for state quota. You may not even qualify to join any government medical college depending on your rank. There are private medical colleges and deemed universities and you may want to find out the possibilities to study there.

It is extremely unlikely that someone with a NEET score of 55 out of 720 will get admitted to a government medical college. You might be able to secure a seat in GMCs in less competitive states or in branches like BDS or other healthcare courses in more competitive states.I recommend participating in the NEET counselling process and checking the cutoff det

With 609 marks in NEET 2024, you have a strong chance of securing admission to a Government Medical College (GMC) in India, although the exact possibility depends on the following factors:State and Category: Admission cutoffs vary greatly between states and categories (General, OBC, SC, ST).
