It depends on few factors like your category, your course, your rank, etc. Let me take an example, in the year 2018 around 11k rank was considered for civil engineering. Therefore, you probably need a rank under 10000 to increase your admission chances.

Candidate must have passed Diploma/ Graduation from a recognized board/ college/ university.
Or,
Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board and must have 2 years of working experience.
Or,
Candidate must have secured minimum 60% marks in Fire and Safety 6 months course (only for students studying under Continuing Education Program of Government Polytechnic, Mumbai).
