The 2023 modification to the GRE design reduced the test's time from three hours and forty-five minutes to around one hour and fifty-eight minutes. Less testing time for each section and fewer questions are two significant adjustments. There is now only one essay in the Analytical Writing component, with a 30-minute time limit, as opposed to two. Additionally, the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning parts have been condensed, with fewer questions and shorter completion times. The unscored portion has also been eliminated. The ETS recently announced a major change in the GRE Exam Pattern. According to the latest GRE test pattern, there will be analytical writing, quantitative reasoning, and verbal reasoning topics in the exam to assess the skills of students. GRE and GATE are different things. GRE is for doing MS from foreign universities and GATE is for doing M.Tech from India.
