No, the GRE is not necessary for the New Jersey Institute of Technology. NJIT is test score optional through the 2024 Intake. International students are advised to contact their respective academic departments to check if a GRE/GMAT score is necessary for their specific course. Applicants applying for Illinois State must score above 300 or equivalent to 300 in both Quantitative and verbal. However, Illinois State University also waives off the requirement of the GRE depending on the course and on the student'smerit performance, i.e. is UG background, GPA and coursework.
