Many programmes offered at Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai are residential in nature. Hence, hostels are mandatory for certain course students. There are separate accomodations available for the Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai students. These hostels are guarded by security professionals. Hence, it is totally safe for students to stay here.

Great Lakes has student-led clubs and committees. The various student-run committees and clubs demonstrate the holistic development of students and therefore enhance the overall diversity at GLIM. The college arrages various events for students such as fests, educational seminars, and others. All the students are encouraged to participate in these clubs.
