This totally depends on the individual and the university that they applied and got into. For example, if an applicant received an acceptance offer from the Ivy league universities than offcourse the applicant should choose to go for those universities than going to University of Groningen. However if the applicant gets an acceptance from a tier three or two university then we suggest them to look for better options and can surely choose University of Groningen. However, the University of Groningen is a good option as well as it is at 139 position in 2024 by QS.

Yes, University of Groningen welcomes international students from all over the world to study at their campus. The University has a diverse community of over 9900 international students. Groningen University offers various UG and PG programs that have been redesigned to cater to the academic needs of international students. However, the university allows International students get admission based on merit no entrance exam required. Lastly, the Groningen University is an inclusive and welcoming institution and provides a safe environment for international students regardless of their nationality, colour and background.

The University of Groningen Acceptance rate is 50%, So for every 100 applicants,50 students get admitted. This means that it is a relatively moderativlely competitive University. Candidates must fulfill the specific course requirements to secure admission to University of Groningen While the acceptance rate is higher, it is suggested that the student applies early for higher chances of getting selected. It’s also important to note the University's other admission requirements.
