The primary requirement for the  candidates to be eligible to take the GUJCET exam is that they must be residents of Gujarat. The GUJCET exam is not open to the students of other states. The entrance exam for admission to the BTech and BPharma degrees provided by several colleges in Gujarat is called the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET). According to the approved syllabus, the GUJCET question paper will include questions from the subjects of physics, chemistry, and mathematics/biology. There will be one section of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for each subject. There will be no internal choices, and students must respond to all questions.

There are 120 questions overall from all three subjects on the GUJCET exam. Each subject area in the test has forty questions: maths, chemistry, and physics. There will be 120 questions total, all of them are multiple choice. In three hours, students must finish all 120 questions.

According to the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board's (GSEB) GUJCET pattern, applicants in the general category must receive at least 54 marks to be eligible to participate in GUJCET participating institutes by 2023, while applicants in the reserved category must receive at least 48 marks to pass. GUJCET application form 2024 was released on Jan 2 in online mode. The last date to apply was Jan 31. For the 2024-25 admission year, the GUJCET process is in the final stages as the registrations are ongoing for counselling. Students can register for GUJCET counselling till May 28.

GUJCET is a state-level enterance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for B.Tech and B.Pharma courses for admission to various colleges in Gujrat. The eligibility criteria to apply for GUJCET include: a) the candidate must be an Indian citizen, and b) acquire a Gujrat Domicile.
