No, you cannot join without exam as the college requires you to appear for an entrance exam for admission to most of its courses, such as B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Sc, etc. The entrance exams vary depending on the course and the level of study. For example, for B.Tech courses, you have to appear for GUJCET, which is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). For B.Arch courses, you have to appear for NATA, which is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA). The process of GUJCET counselling and seat allotment consists of several processes. Once a seat is allotted to a candidate, he/she has the option of “Accept and Freeze” and “Accept and Float”. If a candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat and selects the first option, he/she cannot participate in the next round counselling. If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, he/she can select the second option trough which he/she can participate in the next round counselling with the current seat.

GUJCET counselling do have the provision of mock seat allotment. ACPC will conduct a total of two rounds seat allotment where candidates can check which college they get based on the choice filled by them. Candidates after registering for the counselling have to enter their preferred choice of college and branch in the order of preference.
