If you don't register for IPU counseling during the initial registration phase, you may not be allowed to register later during the counseling period. IPU generally has strict timelines for registration, and missing the deadline might disqualify you from participating. However, in some cases, a special or spot round may be conducted, but this is not guaranteed. It's advisable to check IPU's official website.

The criteria for appearing in IPU CET B.Tech counselling is considered as a little different for  regular B.Tech courses compared to B.Tech and lateral entry programs:Regular B.Tech Courses:Valid JEE Main scorecard is required. IPU CET scores are not considered for these programs.B.Tech (Biotechnology) & Lateral Entry Programs:JEE Main scorecard is not mandatory. Seat allotment for these programs happens based on your  IPU CET score.

Delhi students are those students who have completed their Class 12 from a school which is in Delhi. The remaining 25 per cent seats are for students from all over India. So, Delhi general refers to those students who passed their school from Delhi but are in the General category while All India general refers to the students who have passed their school from anywhere but Delhi and are from the General category.

If you have not frozen or floated your seat in IPU counselling, you may lose your seat. To avoid this, you need to contact the IPU counselling authorities without delay and request them to freeze or float your seat. They can accommodate your request, if there are seats available in the counselling round. However, if all the seats have been filled, you can no longer get your seat again. It is vital to read the instructions and hints of the IPU counselling government to avoid such problems.
