As per current process on website, there is no restriction on applying for MCA under different categories. CET code for lateral entry is 163 and for regular MCA CET code is 105. You may have to apply for both CET separately and also appear for separate entrance examinations. However, one query to admission office of GGSIPU will provide exact clarification.

You need at least 80% marks and 1000 rank in IPU entrance to get admission.

Galgotias will be better than NIEC due to placement concern.
